Chamber Website

Business Chamber members will be listed in the Business Directory on this web site and identified as members. Memberships will have the ability to access the website to add events such special sales or events.   Members will have the ability to make changes whenever necessary.

Networking Opportunities

The Chamber’s Annual Membership Meeting, the monthly Member Breakfasts, Business After Hours drop-ins, Christmas Drop-In, New Member Reception, and other events provide networking opportunities and exposure for your business.

Ribbon Cutting and Grand Openings

If you are opening a new business or relocated to another address, the Chamber will organize a ribbon-cutting. The Chamber will provide the ribbon and some dangerous-looking scissors for your new business grand opening, renovations or changes of ownership. The Chamber will send out an email inviting the public to attend. We’ll call the local newspapers to cover and get local elected officials to participate in the photo-op. This is free extra exposure for your business.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsorship allows your business name additional exposure and helps promote Chamber events. New Member Reception, Rock Around the Clock Festival, Annual Meeting, AG+ART Farm Tour, Big Grab Yard Sale and other events. The sponsor’s name is included in advertising, with signage on site, when appropriate, and announcement.

Relocation Guide & Brochures

The Chamber produces a paper “Relocation Guide” for people and companies moving to or interested in moving to Fairfield. The Chamber also produces several brochures with business information for tourists. Brochures are sent to all the SC Welcome center, the Olde English District, local shops and restaurants. Listings for Chamber members are identified by bold print. They are also included on our website, www.fairfieldchambersc.com.

Visitors Guide

The chamber produces a Visitors' Guide listing points of interest, local businesses and annual events. These will be available to local visitors centers..  Advertising may be purchased in the guide.  

Educational Opportunities

The Chamber can offer seminars for new businesses starting up, social media training, seminars providing information on legal issues, tax information, how to start a small business and other issues as they arise. Seminars for existing businesses on navigating social media, google and other matters are offered through the Small Business Development Center of Columbia. 

Chamber Office Referrals

The Chamber frequently receives calls requesting assistance in locating different kinds of businesses in Fairfield County. The Chamber always refers to a Chamber member first. The Chamber also produces a “Relocation Guide” containing contact information for a wide variety of services ranging from attorneys, medical, utilities, shopping, churches and other services of interest to someone moving to or new to the area. Members are shown in bold print in this publication.

Calendar of Events

The Chamber web site includes a calendar that lists events taking place in the county. These are limited only to events open to and of interest to the public. You do not have to be a chamber member to list an event. The “Things To Do” email will contain events taking place within the a month, including government al meetings. This is generally emailed on a weekly basis.
